19 of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev won his maiden title for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a torrid year, achieving just one win at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and finally splitting with former mentor his previous coach.
Presently collaborating with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set victory over challenger Moutet.
This marks his maiden trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt since spring of the previous year.
Victory also means the Russian has won twenty-one championships at 21 various events.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a event with my both daughters together, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, including in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's defensive strategy and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had prompted observers to doubt if his capacity to play at the elite level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and play positively, supported by an better serve.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky opponent, securing four of the last five points to go ahead.
The pair swapped break points in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial tour championship, took control to force a final set.
The opponent saved four early chances in a competitive deciding set before the champion won the break to 15 to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured victory with a rally at the front of the court, with the Frenchman incapable to handle a return after a lengthy match.
